This is a post from Colette Owen's Dishman Good morning Family and Friends Just want to clear my heart this morning and share with you a blessing I have experienced the last two days. I want to brag on my church and more importantly brag on my Lord and the Holy Spirit. I know this is a little long but please take a moment to read and let it sink in. You won't be sorry. Our little country church put on a play called, "The Lord Will See You Through" written by our pastor's daughter in one night that was given to her by the Holy Spirit. We weren't even going to do a play this year but the Holy Spirit kept telling our beloved Pastor "Do something." So he told Kathy we needed to do something for Christmas. That night the Holy Spirit gave her this play. God always blesses when you obey His voice. As the title suggests the Lord will always see you through your trials and He always has (I am proof of that - PTL!) But before I go any farther I want you to know that our little church has always conducted our services with the leading of the Holy Spirit - no bulletins, just pure liberty to sing, testify, come to the altar at any time, preach God's message He has for those in attendance. We don't even have a clock in the sanctuary. I'm telling you friends when you focus on that clock instead of the spiritual food being offered then you are missing out on so many blessings. When you go to church you should go with a heart and mind to expect a blessing and be in one mind and one accord. I challenge each of you and your church for one Sunday to put away the bulletins and conduct your service by the leading of the Holy Spirit. I guarantee you will be blessed and experience more joy and peace than you ever have in the past. If everything is done to please the Lord and not ourselves then everything will be alright. Now I digress. The devil fought everyone in the play all week long with sickness and unnecessary junk. But we endured. We prayed about this play consistently and that the Lord would send us people who needed its message - a message of love, faith, hope, and belief. We had a packed house and by the time the play was over there was not a dry eye in the house. In turn people that we had been praying for for over a year came to the play. They were surprised to find such a loving church who didn't condemn or judge them but found a body of people who genuinely loved and cared about them. Seeds were planted that night. Then yesterday morning we did something a little different staring with Sunday School. We "came home." I love our pastor - he is always willing to keep things fresh and keep us out of a rutt and is always willing to let the church body be part of whatever he has in mind (or what the spirit has in mind for us). Those in attendance all gathered around the stage and front pews some sat on the floor near the Christmas tree. We discussed the blessings from our play and shared testimonies about the night before. If a visitor came in they would have been welcomed to join us and be part of the sharing process. It doesn't matter what people think - we love following the leading of the Spirit. Bro. Jerry shared with us Hebrews 11:1 "the evidence of things not seen." We had been praying for our lost family and friends for over a year and folks there were four different families who lost loved one attended that play. Praise the Lord! The seeds were planted. The moral of this story is don't give up praying for your lost family and friends. Somebody did not give up on us and continued praying for us. Endure, put the devil behind you - you have the power to do so, when the devil fights the hardest then you know your on the right track. Don't let him make you miss out on a blessing. The love, the closeness, the open hearts, the sharing I felt and seen was just like being at home with family - because we the church ARE family. My heart was so full. Sharing tears and joys, hopes and fears and concerns - we are here to lift each other up - not tear you down. I would not trade what I felt and seen yesterday morning for nothing in this world. Oh what joy and peace I have in my heart. Again when you follow the leading of the Holy Spirit its all in order. Give yourself a present you'll always treasure this year and just submit yourself to Him. I am so proud of and being a part of my home church, Fredonia Community Church. Everyone did a wonderful job in the play just by doing their very best. Thank you for reading this and my prayer is that you will be blessed and have a closer walk with our Lord and Savior. It is with great sadness that we have to say goodbye to a very dear friend and brother. We will miss you but we have the promise of seeing you again someday very soon. We love you and you will live in our hearts forever. Rest safely in the arms of Jesus...until we meet again. John David Robbins October 16, 1959 - October 26, 2017 Funeral services for Mr. John David Robbins, age 58, of Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m., Sunday, October 29, 2017 from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Jerry Harris, Bro. Jimmy Dixon & Bro. Rick Lacy will officiate. A private family burial will be in the Robbins View Stables Cemetery. The family will welcome friends on Saturday evening, October 28, 2017 at the Rotary Ag Building located at the Overton County Fairgrounds from 5 until 9 p.m., then on Sunday from 10 a.m. until time of services at Speck Funeral Home. David passed peacefully Thursday evening, October 26, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family and close friends. He was born October 16, 1958 in Jackson County to John Robbins & the late Betty Tayes Robbins. David was a 1977 graduate of Livingston Academy. He worked as the Plant Manager for Hutchinson for many years. David served as President of the Overton County Fair Board for over 25 years and was dedicated in making the Overton County Fair a success. He loved his family, training Walking Horses & judging them. He enjoyed going to church and being on his farm, and spending time with his son, John Ross at horse shows. He loved people, especially his fair board & his Hutchinson family. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Mrs. Cindy Hogue Robbins, of Livingston, TN; son, John Ross Robins & Stephanie Sherfield of Murfreesboro, TN; father, John Robbins of Livingston, TN; sister, Cathy Stacey of Rickman, TN. & several nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Tayes Robbins. Pallbearers to serve are Timmy Martin, Tony Bilbrey, Ronnie Smith, & Mike Rittenberry. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Fair Board Members & Drew Huffines.

Fredonia Community Church begin new ministry Sunday July 2 2017 on WLIV 920 AM also streaming world wide web at wlivradio.com this ministry is called "FREDONIA TIME" on air from 3:30 pm till 4:00 pm each Sunday program will consist of Gospel Music along with scripture reading preaching at times also different speakers on different Sundays. Most of time program will be live at radio station. Join in and listen to this new program.

A few Christmas pictures. Bobby got new clothes, a trip to the Cumberland County Playhouse, and a meal at Olive Garden from the church. David Robbins got a handmade walking cane from the Pastor. Everyone enjoyed being together and celebrating our Lord and Savior's birthday. We played Blessed Santa and had a great time. I forgot to take pictures of the Christmas dinner and playing Blessed Santa.
